Print Release
Print Release is where you will retrieve the print jobs you have sent to Dornsife Printing. Select this option to display your printing queue. An example is shown below.
Your printing queue displays all of the unprinted documents that you have sent to Dornsife Printing. Select the checkbox next to the document(s) you want to print. By default, all documents will be selected. You can de-select the documents you no longer wish to print, or that you sent to the printing queue in error.
Documents you sent to Dornsife Printing will remain in your printing queue for 24 hours. You will receive an email 5 minutes before the 24 hour period expires. This provides you a last opportunity to retrieve the document(s) before the queue is emptied.
Account Selection
For most printer users, Account Selection will only include an option labeled My Personal Account. Office administrators and support staff may see a departmental account option displayed in Account Selection. This provides the ability for support staff to use departmental printing funds for large print jobs or special projects.
Email
The Scan to Email option provides the ability to scan a document on the printer and then email it to yourself.
Because you have accessed the printer with your username and password, the printer automatically populates your email address in the To: field. You can CC: or BCC: an additional recipient. You can also edit the default email Subject: and File Name: fields.
When you are ready to send the email, place the item(s) to be scanned in the copy tray and then select Send, located at the bottom of the screen. The printer will scan the documents and email you an electronic copy.
Copy
The Copy option provides the ability to make photocopies of paper documents. Place the documents to be copied in the top tray and then make the appropriate selections from the available options. There are multiple copying options available within the Copy section. You can single-side copy, staple, collate, reduce or enlarge, and more.
Examples of the Copy section screens are shown below.
Supplies
The Supplies section provides the ability to monitor the ink cartridge levels, maintenance kit, and staple supplies within the printer.
Job Log
Job Log provides the ability to view details about active and completed print jobs.
The Job Log tab provides a listing of recently printed items. You can view the name of the print job, the user associated with the print job, the status of the job, and when it was printed. If you want to view print jobs by type (such as copies, fax, etc.), you can make a selection from the Job Types listing, by selecting the All jobs option located at the top of the screen.
You can narrow the focus to only things you have printed by selecting My Jobs.
Selecting the Print Log option will print a copy of the Job Log.
Use the up and down scroll arrows to view all the available information, when applicable.
Trays
Trays provides the ability to view and modify information pertaining to the paper trays in the printer.
Select a tray to view or change the tray information. You can modify the tray information by selecting the adjacent options. For example, if the tray were currently designated for use with regular 8.5 X 11 paper, but you wanted to switch the tray for use with legal sized paper, you would do so from this screen.
After modifying the tray information, select the Done option to save your changes.
Fax
The Fax option is available when the printer is connected to phone line and is configured to receive faxes.
