When creating PDF files in Adobe Acrobat, you can set the default display magnification for the file. This controls at what zoom rate the PDF displays when it is opened.
Note:
Setting the display magnification for your PDF files will not override local user settings. For example, if you set the PDF to display at 200% magnification, but the user has set the default display zoom for their workstation to 50%, the PDF will display at 50% on that user's workstation.
Complete the following steps to set the default display magnification for a PDF file.
- Open Adobe Acrobat.
- Open the PDF file for which you want to set the default display magnification.
- Select the File option, located in the menu bar at the top of the screen. A drop-down menu displays.
- From the drop-down menu, select the Properties option. The Document Properties screen displays.
- Select the Initial View tab.
- From the Magnification drop-down menu, select the default magnification value at which you want the PDF to display. The recommended value is 100%.
- Select the OK option to save your changes.
The default display magnification is now set. Repeat these steps to set the default display magnification for additional PDF files.
