Overview
If you currently connect to your @usc.edu email account on your phone using an insecure basic authentication configuration, you'll need to fix your phone's email setup to securely connect to USC email using USC Duo authentication. Please follow our instructions below to complete this fix by August 17, 2022.
Whom does this affect?
On August 3, DTS emailed 275 Dornsife faculty and staff who are affected by this change. If you did not receive this email, no action is required on your part. If you did receive this email, please follow the steps below based on your phone type.
Why is Duo authentication now required?
Microsoft has announced that it will soon disable access to Microsoft 365 services using basic authentication. This means that if you currently use basic authentication (i.e. you are signed into your @usc.edu email account without Duo authentication), after August 17, 2022 you may be unable to connect to USC email on your phone.
Requesting assistance with this process
