Overview
When you screenshare in a Zoom Room, by default your computer's entire desktop is shared. To change this Zoom setting and prompt Zoom to show options for sharing specific windows, follow the guide below.
Note that this option is only available when you screenshare with the Zoom app. If you are connecting your computer to the Zoom room via an HDMI cable or Belkin multiport adapter, your entire desktop is shared.
Enabling screensharing options in a Zoom Room
Quick guide
On your computer:
- Open the Zoom app.
- In the upper right, click the Settings
icon.
- In the left menu, click Share screen.
- Under "When I share directly to a Zoom Room," select Show all sharing options.
- Now, when you screenshare in any Zoom Room, Zoom will ask you to select a window to share.
