Overview
If you are using a Dornsife-managed Mac that was issued before May 20, 2021, your computer should already be enrolled in Meraki. Meraki is required for Dornsife-managed Macs and enables DTS to deliver software updates, patches, and security policies to your computer for optimal functioning.
If your Dornsife-managed Mac is not enrolled in Meraki but was issued before May 20, 2021, you can enroll it by following our steps below.
Enrolling in Meraki for Mac
Quick guide
- First, enroll your Mac in Meraki:
- Go to https://m.meraki.com.
- Type the following Network ID: 065-075-3665 (with exact hyphenation). Click on Register.
- Input your USC NetID credentials. Click on Login.
- The webpage refreshes and your computer attempts to download a file from Meraki. If you are prompted, click on Allow.
- Next, install Meraki Management on your Mac:
- Open your System Preferences.
- In the upper left corner of your screen, click on the Apple menu and select System Preferences…
- Click on Profiles.
- Make sure "Meraki Management" is displayed. Click on Install…
- Click on Install.
- Input the username and password you use to log into your Mac (not necessarily the same as your USC NetID username and password). Click on Enroll.
- Follow any remaining prompts to complete the process. Your Mac is now enrolled in Meraki!
