Duplicating a minisite Page

Overview

There is now a one-step clone option in WordPress for quickly duplicating a minisite Page, so you don't have to start from scratch each time:

Go to Pages.
Hover over the title of a Page you want to duplicate. Click Clone.

If you do not see this option, email webproject@dornsife.usc.edu to have this option added to your department minisite. You can also follow the manual duplication instructions below.

Step 1: Copy the first Page

Quick guide

Open the Page that you want to duplicate.
In the top toolbar, click the icon for more options (top right corner).
Select Copy all blocks from the dropdown.

Select Copy all blocks from the dropdown.

Step 2: Create a new Page and paste the contents of the first Page

Quick guide

Create a new Page (Pages > Add New).
In the top toolbar, click the icon for more options (top right corner).
Select Code editor from the dropdown.
Click on the box labeled "Start writing with text or HTML."
Use keyboard shortcuts to paste your content:
- Mac: Cmd + v
- Windows PC: Ctrl + v
Click Exit code editor.
The new Page now has all of the blocks and content from the Page you copied, and you can begin customizing the new Page.
