Overview

If you want to showcase a collection of videos on a WordPress page, the Video Listing template is a good option. For instance, maybe you want to assemble a series of faculty profile videos, or you need a central location for training videos. Use the guide below to set up a Video Listing page. There is no limit on the number of Video Listing pages you can set up.
Note: because the design is focused on the video experience, this page has limited ability to show non-video content.
Before you begin: adding video posts
Before creating a Video Listing page, you'll need to add some videos to your website. Otherwise, the Video Listing page won't have content to display.
For each video, you must create a video post:

Step 2: Set the description and featured videos
Once you reload the page, the page editor updates and you can now set up the following sections at the top of the page:
- Breadcrumb Links (optional)
- Description (optional)
- Featured Videos (required): You must add at least one video, and can add up to five

Step 3: Select video posts to display
The rest of the page is dedicated to displaying videos. Video thumbnails appear in a 3x3 grid, and clicking on a video thumbnail will open and play the video in a full-screen lightbox.
You can select Database or Manual for the Listing Type:
Database (default)
As long as you set up video categories for your video posts, then putting those same category names in the Video Category field will automatically display corresponding video posts on the page. You can select whether videos should be ordered by Title or Publish Date, and in ASC (ascending) or DESC (descending) order.

Manual
This option allows you to manually select specific videos in the left pane, and set a custom order in the right pane.

Step 4: Finish, save, and publish
- (optional) You can fill out the following sections:
-
Hide Categories: Set this to Yes if you don't want the video categories to appear below the video. This is useful if all your video posts use the same category, as having the same label show up for each may be redundant.
-
Bottom Components: Click Add Row if you want to add non-video content at the end of the page, and then select a component. You can choose from Rich Text, Two Column CTAs, and Contact Details.
- Use the Publish panel in the right side for the following options:
- To save: Click Save Draft. This template does not have an autosave feature.
- To preview: Click Preview. Be aware that the filter option will only work on published pages, not on drafts.
- To publish: Click Publish.
