Overview
If you use ChemDraw in the browser, be aware that ChemDraw Cloud and Signals Notebook Individual Edition are being retired, and USC's license expires on Feb 5, 2025. Once these products are retired, your account and data will be permanently deleted.
You must take action before Feb 5, 2025 if you want to migrate your data to the replacement product, Signals Notebook Standard, or export it to PDF files.
Who is affected
You are impacted if you access ChemDraw through your browser using any of the following links:
You are not impacted if you only use ChemDraw in the installable desktop application.
Migrating your data to Signals Notebook Standard
You can migrate your data from Signals Notebook Individual Edition or ChemDraw Cloud to Signals Notebook Standard. Be aware of these caveats:
- Only notebooks can be exported. If you have standalone experiments, you must move them into a notebook in order to export them.
- Experiment hyperlinks, user comments, and audit trail information (including the change history and original review status) cannot be exported.
- Exported notebooks can contain up to 100 experiments. If a notebook has more than 100 experiments, you will need to split it up to export it.
Step 1: Prepare and export your data from Signals Notebook Individual Edition

Exporting your data as PDFs
You can also export your data in PDF format, with the following limitations:
- Only notebooks can be exported. If you have standalone experiments, you must move them into a notebook in order to export them.
- The PDF files cannot be imported to or edited in Signals Notebook Standard, but as PDF files they can retain comments, original review status, and change history.
- Avoid having too many experiments in each notebook: if your experiments are too large, the export may fail.
