Software purchasing and the Dornsife IT procurement policy
If you are considering purchasing software directly, instead of through DTS, be aware that software purchases must adhere to the Dornsife IT procurement policy. The policy specifies and provides examples of the following:
- Software that has been pre-approved for purchase
- Software that must be reviewed by DTS prior to purchase
- Software that must be purchased through DTS
DTS must review cloud-based software (such as online storage and hosting services, online calendar scheduling applications, and online newsletter and graphics creation services) prior to purchase, in order to confirm that no confidential data will be stored on the software.
